A Letter For You:

God takes you as you are right now. Hear that? He takes you as you are. Keep on repeating that until it echos within the bones of your body.

When you were living in the treacherous life of sin, walking away from your First Love, Christ Jesus fought dearly and painfully for your heart before you knew you needed it.  When you blatantly rebelled against Him, stomping both feet on the dusty ground, it didn't stop His pursuit for your heart on the wooden cross. His love is mighty, enough to overflow and out pour from our hearts to praise His name!

Why then do you still hold onto what is weighty and bad for you? Have you forgotten Jesus has lowered Himself to carry your struggles and your weaknesses on the cross? He has fought for you! In Christ, we find ourselves free from the darkening shambles of sin. Let those chains fall down.

Yet He Himself bore our sicknesses, and He carried our pains; But we in turn regarded Him stricken, struck down by God, and afflicted. But He was pierced because of our transgressions, crushed because of our iniquities; punishment for our peace was on Him, and we are healed by His wounds.
— Isaiah 53:4-5

Let His love ring loudly! Hear the beautiful sound of His grace! My wish is that everyone may experience the depths of His gracious love. In His love abounds healing. In His love abounds clarity. His love transcends our fragile, broken hearts to be used for His emboldening glory!

Though you show too much of yourself... the beautiful thing is that His love fills the empty crevices of your heart, exuding a light of Christ-likeness! Not by your own doing, of course, no. But only as you are remaining in Christ's love. In His love, we find more clarity of what we were created for; we find security in His faithful promises and His never-ending love.  In His love we no longer shrink back to our place of false comfort and security.  Instead, we are richly and fully living in His abundance so that we may share this kind of radical love with others.

So dear, come back to the safe arms of your First Love.

Love, Rebecca // learning to reside in His love and not my own anxieties and fears
